Encryption costs a few milliseconds. The larger factor is distance, which is why our servers sit inside the region rather than across an ocean.
Nothing about what you do. We keep your subscription status and the total number of active devices. We do not record connection destinations, DNS queries or traffic contents, and the system is built so that no such record exists to hand over.
